Charlie Robison: No biography provided

Jack Ingram: The irony of Jack Ingram's career is the subtle fact that after a decade of touring and recording, he won the Academy of County Music Award for Best New Male Vocalist in 2008. While he wasn't a chart topping artist until his 2005 hit, "Wherever You Are", most musicians would have killed for the longevity of this country star's career. The native Texan found his passion for performance in high school during a drama class. He channelled his creative energies while at Southern Methodist University and an open mic night at a local college bar where he performed Willie Nelson covers to great fanfare. It wasn't long before Ingram was picked up by indie label, Rising Tide, and he put out his self-titled debut in 1995. Jack Ingram toured and performed at concerts throughout the rest of '90s, but didn't quite find any commercial success. The label eventfully went out of business, but Ingram found a home at Sony's Lucky Dog imprint which released his album, Electric, in 2002. Jack Ingram's persistent concert schedule fueled sales of the album and marked the first time he would appear on the Billboard charts. However, he was soon dropped from the label and from his management deal.

The constant touring and the critical praise wasn't translating into commercial success for Ingram. By 2005, however, Ingram's fortunes were about to change and his career took a major upswing. He released a live album, Live: Wherever You Are, on the indie label Big Machine Records. While the album didn't chart well, the single "Wherever You Are", hit #1 on the country singles chart. After a decade in the business, Ingram found country success and continued to rack up hit after hit single. In 2007 he released his breakthrough album, This Is It, which peaked at #4 on the country albums chart. He capped off the success with a win for Best New Male Vocalist at the ACM Awards in 2008 which was the culmination of over a decade of hard work and perseverance. Jack Ingram tour dates kept him busy, and his concert schedule included more tour dates at larger venues.

Ingram released Big Dreams & High Hopes in 2010, which featured the top ten hit "Barefoot & Crazy". The album released four other charting country singles including "That's a Man"; It looks like Ingram found the formula for making hit country singles. Jack Ingram's 2011 concert schedule has him on the road for the bulk of the year. If you cant wait for his next album, you can catch him live and on the road doing what he does best.
