Keyshia Cole crafted her real lyrics on the streets of Oakland, California. She moved to LA when she was a teenager and scored a recording contract in 2004. She released her debut album, The Way It Is, in 2005 and staying true to the album's title, she connected with audiences through her tales of love, heartbreak, and betrayal.
